Changes have been made to the Venturing Leadership Award (or VLA) that now opens the award to area, region, and national youth leadership. Previously these level awards were discontinued while only the council level VLA remained.
The award is for youth leadership to be recognized at council, area, regional, and national levels for exceptional contributions made to Venturing. Councils may select ad…ult council VLA’s for this year using the current guidelines if the paperwork has been submitted to them before December 31, 2011.
